I saw TV highlights of ex-Wildcat forward Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic score 30 points against the Memphis Grizzlies last week. Gordonโ€™s improvement as a shooter is off-the-charts good.

At Arizona, he shot 42 percent from the foul line, the lowest figure in modern UA history for a starter. Now heโ€™s at 62 percent. He averaged 12 points at Arizona, and almost all of that was from dunks, put-backs and foul shots.

But now Gordon, whose NBA career average is 8.3, has had 30-point games twice in a 12-day period (he had 33 against the Clippers). He is only 21. He could someday be an NBA All-Star.
