The race for men’s basketball Player of the Year in the ACCAC appears to be a two-way race between a couple of Tucsonans. Pima sophomoreΒ Deion James, 6-foot-6-inch wing player from EmpireΒ High School, leads the league in scoring with 21.9 points per game, and is averaging 10.1 rebounds per game. James last week was offered scholarships by both Colorado State and Fresno State. South Mountain freshmanΒ Jacob Inclan, a Sunnyside High School grad, is also averaging a double-double, leading the ACCAC with a 12.3 rebounds-per-game average. He is second in points, at 20.1 per game.Β
