You may be feeling all the festive, jolly feelings of the season, but then an unsettling realization sets in: I have so much shopping to do.

If your holiday shopping list is long, it can be overwhelming to find gifts for all the special people in your life.

This year, instead of buying something on Amazon that's a dime a dozen, consider something unique from a local shop.

#ThisIsTucson, the sister website of the Arizona Daily Star, teamed up with Di Luna candles, 2700 N. Campbell Ave., to create this Tucson-themed gift box.

According to Local First Arizona, for every $100 spent at a locally owned business, $43 remains in the local economy.

“In comparison, for every $100 spent at a non-locally owned business, just $13 remains in the local economy,” its website says.

In that spirit, #ThisIsTucson, the Arizona Daily Star's sister website, has teamed up with Di Luna Candles again this year and crafted a Tucson-themed gift box.

This cactus grow kit by Buzzy Classic is in the Tucson-themed gift box.

We focused on items made locally and those that invoke the sights and smells of our beloved desert.

Cactus fruit soap by Larrea, left, and Tucson-scented candle (it smells like the monsoon) by Di Luna Candles are among the items in the #ThisIsTucson gift box.

Whether you give someone the entire box, or pull apart the goodies to act as stocking stuffers, your giftee is sure to appreciate these items:

Prickly pear body scrub by Broken Circle Soap is also in the gift box.

  • A 2-ounce candle made by Di Luna in the scent "Tucson." With notes of aged wood, petrichor and a touch of green tomato, this candle smells like opening your windows after the first summer rain. It’s a clean, crisp scent that can be burned at any time of year for a little Arizona magic.
  • Prickly Pear Body Scrub by Broken Circle Soap, which not only smells great but also gently exfoliates to facilitate smoother, more radiant skin.
  • Cactus Grow Kit by Buzzy Classic. It includes a 7-centimeter terracotta pot, nutrient-rich growing pellets and cactus seeds. This low-maintenance gardening kit will help you grow the cutest mini cactus.
  • Tucson Tea Towel by Retrotrek. Retrotrek is known for its vibrant, Tucson-centric art. This nature-themed dish towel is 100% cotton and features designs including the Sabino Canyon tram, Reid Park Zoo, Gila monsters, javelinas and other cute wildlife.
  • Cactus Fruit Soap by Larrea, made with luxurious oils, butters, aloe vera, and exfoliating poppy seeds that leave your skin super soft. It has a fruity, floral scent — and it's pink.
  • Mini Cactus Notebook by Moore Collection. It's covered in cacti designs, has 52 pages, and is pocket-sized to toss in your bag and take on the go.

The #ThisIsTucson gift box also includes a tea towel by Retrotrek and a mini cactus notebook by Moore Collection.

Di Luna Candles, 2700 N Campbell Ave.

Valued at $70, the box is priced at $55. All proceeds go to the locally owned small business Di Luna. Ask for the #ThisIsTucson gift box.
