Newsroom veteran CorellaΒ named Star interim editor
The Arizona Daily Star namedΒ Hipolito R. CorellaΒ interim editor.
In his new post, Corella will oversee newsroom operations during a national search to replace longtime editorΒ Bobbie Jo Buel, who retired Friday, May 20.
Corella, 47, a native Tucsonan and University of Arizona graduate, has been at the Star since 1991. He has held several reporter and editor positions, including most recently, senior editor for daily news.
