"I take my veganism how I take my religion," former Wildcat Joseph Blair, left, says. "I'm not going to constantly throw it in your face,  but if you ask me about it, you better be ready to listen."

Blair knows

UA graduate manager Joseph Blair knows as well as anyone what it’s like to have the earliest of exits, in the first round.

In 1993, Blair was a freshman for the Wildcats, then No. 2 seed, taking on 15-seed Santa Clara, a team with future NBA star Steve Nash.

Improbably, Arizona lost that game, becoming only the second 2-seed to ever lose to a 15.

“It was my freshman year, so I do remember it, but not a whole lot,” Blair said. "It was first experience in the tournament. I know it sucked.”
