The series: Thanks to the Pac-12’s unbalanced schedule, the Ducks and Wildcats have only been scheduled to play once last season and this season despite being two of the conference’s marquee teams. Oregon snapped UA’s 49-game homecourt winning streak last season with 24 points from Dillon Brooks and a zone defense that stymied the Wildcats. The Ducks beat UA again in the semifinals of the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals, after a wild finish in regulation ended when Mark Tollefsen hit 1 of 2 free throws to send the game into overtime. However, Arizona beat Oregon 80-62 the last time the teams met in Eugene, when T.J. McConnell had 21 points on 9-for-14 shooting on Jan. 8, 2015.
