As Baffert spoke, Nogales’ second-most favorite son passed through Lowell-Stevens on his way to his seats. Joey Rodolfo was the co-founder of Cutter & Buck and a partner in Tommy Bahama. Both are influential, if not iconic, men’s sportswear companies. Rodolfo parted ways with Tommy Bahama in May, and now runs his own business.
On his official bio, Rodolfo credits — among others — his third-grade teacher for steering him toward design. Her name? Ellie Baffert, Bob Baffert’s mother.
