A disabled woman who went missing Tuesday morning was found dead later in the day, the sheriff’s department said.
Shannon Montgomery, 42, went missing from her home in the 5600 block of North Sabino Canyon Road at around 7:40 a.m., the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said.
Montgomery suffered from short-term memory loss and required 24-hour care, the agency said.
The department said her body was found in the 4900 block of North Sabino Valley Place, a little more than a mile south of Montgomery’s home.
The investigation into her death is continuing.
No other information was available.
