Up for a road trip? Head to Elgin this Saturday for a pint of beer and a chili cook-off at the Copper Hop Ranch, Farm and Microbrewery.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the venue, 5 Fairview Lane in Elgin. Its free to enter your chili (you do have to pre-register) and only $10 to taste the chili, with proceeds benefiting "Rotten Rottie Rescue," a Rottweiler rescue group.
The winner will receive a "Golden Spoon Trophy."
