As an Arizona freshman in ’91, Sorenstam won the national championship , played at Ohio State. By the time she left Arizona a year later, Sorenstam had won seven college championships and then joined the LPGA Tour.

Annika Sorenstam, shown here in 1991 as a University of Arizona sophomore, had 11 wins in 25 starts in 2002. In two years at the University of Arizona Annika Sorenstam finished first and second at the NCAA Championships.
