Tucson police are actively investigating a home invasion on Tucson's south side, which resulted in a lockdown at Sunnyside High School shortly after 1 p.m.
Police have shut down East Bilby Road, between South Southland Boulevard and South Park Avenue, Tucson Police Department spokesman, Sgt. Pete Dugan, wrote in a Tweet.

Multiple patrol vehicles, as well as a SWAT truck, could be seen in the neighborhood.
Sunnyside High School was dismissed at 1:30, but students were being held at the school until TPD gave clearance to areas south and west of the school, according to a post on the school's Twitter page.
Police released the students shortly after 2 p.m., but a volleyball game and all other after school activities as a result.
