Pima’s baseball program is much more than a Top 10 list. In 2008, Sunnyside’s Stefen Romero, who later started at Oregon State and played for the Seattle Mariners, hit .412 with 19 home runs. Coaches Alday, Edgar Soto and Roger Werbylo also produced major-leaguers Jack Howell, D. J. Carrasco, Tim Wood, Mel Stocker, Donnie Veal and Chris Saenz.
