Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road, will launch its 2017 concert series with a series of classical pieces from Mozart this Sunday.
The event, which begins at 2 p.m., will feature instrumentalists from True Concord and Tucson Symphony Orchestra (The Kingfisher Quartet, pictured above, has performed the series before).
The program includes:
— Divertimento in D Major for String Quartet, K.136
— Horn Quintet in E-flat Major, K.407, featuring Johanna Lundy, horn
— Eine kleine Nachtmusik, K.525
According to the Facebook event page: Concertgoers are invited to make a freewill contribution to a local, non-sectarian charity at each event. On January 1, all of the contributions will go to Interfaith Community Services (ICS).
