Brian Peabodyâs Pima College menâs basketball team staged a compelling comeback Friday night against the defending NJCAA champions Salt Lake CC. The Aztecs lost 102-95 but mightâve identified two key (local) players that will help them contend for the ACCAC title and the 2017 playoffs: Salpointe grad Emilio Acedo made seven 3-pointers for a career-high 22 points, and former Cienega standout Isaiah Murphy, a freshman, scored a team-high 28. The Aztecs are entertaining; theyâve averaged 122 points through six games.Â
