The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona is holding its HungerWalk 2018 on Saturday, Sept. 15, at two locations.
The event will be in Tucson and Green Valley and is a signature event for the food bank to raise funds for hunger-relief efforts.
The walks are being held at Sam Lena Park, 3400 S. Country Club Road in Tucson, and La Posada, South Continental Road and South Park Centre Avenue, in Green Valley.
Both walks begin at 8 a.m., with registration starting at 7 a.m. Cost to register is $25 for adults, $10 for children 6-12 and free for children 5 and younger.
Participants walking the two-mile path in Tucson will tour the food bankβs main warehouse. They will also tour the Nuestra Tierra Learning Garden at the food bank before looping back to the park for prizes, a light breakfast and entertainment.
Green Valley walkers can chose from two routes, a one-mile course and a two-mile course. There will also be a light breakfast, music, prizes and childrenβs activities.
Adults will receive a HungerWalk T-shirt, and all children will receive a Hunger Hero cape.
