Scooby Wright III

UA’s Scooby Wright poses with the Lombardi trophy in Houston. The award recognizes the top lineman or linebacker.

Wright won the Rotary Lombardi Award on Dec. 10 at the Bayou Music Center. He beat out Clemson’s Vic Beasley, Ohio State’s Joey Bosa and Washington’s Hau’oli Kikaha.

The Lombardi Award honors the lop linebacker or lineman in college football. Wright is the first player in Arizona history to win the Lombardi Award. He’s also the first player from the Pac-10/12 to earn it since Arizona State’s Terrell Suggs in 2002.
