Fennemore Craig has expanded its Tucson office with the addition of attorney Brendan Burns.

Burns, who is also an Oro Valley town councilman, practices in the areas of commercial litigation, plaintiffs’ personal injury, professional liability, medical negligence defense and land use planning and zoning.

He began his legal career as an officer in the U .S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. During his time with the Army, he served as chief legal counsel for General Leonard Wood Community Hospital. He also served as the chief of claims responsible for defending the Army against tort actions filed under the Federal Tort Claims Act, Fennemore Craig said in a news release.

Burns earned his J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
