Work continues as part of the two-year project underway at the Ina Road-Interstate 10 interchange.
The $148 million project β paid for largely by the Regional Transportation Authority with an additional $25 million from Marana β will provide a number of improvements, chief among them an elevated roadway that takes Ina over the interstate and railroad tracks, two additional lanes on Ina west of the interstate, and space for more interstate lanes.
Business access has been maintained throughout the project, however a number of businesses have called it quits, citing the construction, including Hooters, Miss Saigon Bar & Grill Vietnamese, Jack In the Box fast-food outpost, Chuyβs Mesquite Broiler and Waffle House.
Road work is expected to continue into 2019.
