- Diamond Foundation: In 2022, it will be the 100th anniversary of United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona. The Tucson-based Diamond Foundation has contributed nearly $750,000 to position United Way for another century of service. The focus of this contribution will be on the expansion of early childhood education initiatives in Southern Arizona, including the First Focus on Kids Change Network that will work to strengthen childhood education and support the nearly 107,000 children in the county from birth to age 8.
- Arizona Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons: Drs. Robert Wood, Nicholas Coles and Negin Saghafi of Arizona Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are teaming up with Dr. Katherine Hammel and the Dental Prosthetics Lab to provide a Tucson resident full-arch restoration treatment, typically costing $50,000. To learn more or apply, visit azoms.com/secondchance. The program opened Sept. 24 and goes through Oct. 24.
