A new Starbucks location is planned for this lot on the northwest corner of North Campbell Avenue and East Glenn Street.

Midtown latte lovers will soon get a new Starbucks.

A 2,800 square-foot-shop is under construction across the street from Campbell Plaza, at 2807 N. Campbell Ave.

A $295,658 building permit was issued for the store, on the northwest corner of Campbell and Glenn Street.

Starbucks has more than 150 shops or kiosks inside other retailers in the Tucson area. This newest shop is expected to open this spring.

Other construction activity around town includes:

  • The Church of the Nazarene got a $3.3 million permit for its 43,000-square-foot church at 500 W. Calle Concordia.
  • Carondelet St. Joseph’s pharmacy is getting an upgrade with a $2.7 million permit at 250 N. Wilmot Road.
  • A $2.8 million permit was issued for Banner Health’s obstetrics and urology building at 3838 N. Campbell Ave.
  • Hotel McCoy, 720 W. Silverlake Road, got $800,000 in permits for the remodel of the former Silverbell Motel.
  • Holualoa Pioneer LLC got a $685,000 permit to spruce up office space for tenant Sinfonia at 100 N. Stone Ave.
  • Downtown bar Cobra Arcade got a $245,000 permit for its spot at 63 E. Congress St.
  • Dogtopia is coming to the north side. A $493,486 permit was issued for the 5,411-square-foot shop at 7621 N. Oracle Road.
  • The north-side Trader Joe’s is getting a $368,567 facelift at 7912 N. Oracle Road.
