Tucson-based satellite launch startup Vector has reached a deal with Kanematsu Corp., a major Japanese trading company and a Vector investor, to sell Vector’s products and services in Japan, India, Thailand and South Korea.
Kanematsu, a diversified industrial corporation that made a strategic investment in Vector in January 2017, will provide customers with services “stimulating demand for micro-satellite launch throughout Asia,” Vector said in a news release.
Vector has successfully tested its small rocket, designed to meet a demand for launches of 10 to 150-kilogram class micro satellites, and plans its first orbital flight this summer.
