Tucson-based Simpleview announced Tuesday that it has acquired Pittsburgh-based Software Management Inc. (SMI).

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Simpleview says it is the industry’s leading provider of website design, search marketing, revenue generation, and mobile technologies to destination marketing organizations or DMOs, and that Software Management, Inc. was the second-largest such provider.

Destination marketing organizations include regional convention and visitors bureaus, state tourism offices, and national convention and tourism offices.

The acquisition β€œadds approximately 95 new clients to the number of DMOs working with Simpleview, expanding the company’s customer base to more than 350 destinations, including nearly all the top-tier meeting and leisure destinations in North America and a number of top destinations around the world,” Simpleview officials said in a news release.

Former SMI leaders will maintain operations of the new Simpleview offices in Pittsburgh.

Simpleview employs more than 130 people in Tucson, San Diego and Pittsburgh.
