Kingfisher on East Grant Road is hitting the highway this summer on a culinary quest to bring unique regional flavors home to Tucson.

Kingfisher owners Jim Murphy and Jeff Azersky are the tour guides on this tasty tour curated by them and their staff, including Executive Chef Fred Harris.

The journey will span the U.S. with each month representing a different region of the country. It begins with the Southwest from May 27 to June 14 and a menu prepared by Murphy. Appetizers include Oysters Rocky Point with housemade Reposado tequila. Entrees feature grilled half duckling or pan-seared lenguado and desserts include the tantalizing-sounding New Mexico green chile apple pie.

Prices vary per course, and each meal also features craft cocktail and wine pairing suggestions.

Kingfisher will close June 30 through July 13. Other stops along the 2016 Kingfisher Road Trip:

â€ĸ Great Plains with Chef Azersky, July 14 to 26.
