A year after buying the former Christian Faith Fellowship church on Broadway, east of Craycroft, developers have filled the rebuilt space.

El Pollo Loco, Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza and Krispy Kreme Donuts leased spots in the strip mall, which is under construction.

The church site was bought by Broadway Festival LLC, headed by Bill Viner and Steve Shenitzer, for $2.2 million and rezoned for retail use.

“We are very excited about bringing this project to fruition so quickly,” Shenizer said. “The site boasts a superb tenant mix â€Ļ creating a premium array of delectables.”

The leases were brokered by Nancy McClure and John Ash, with CBRE.

“Redevelopment is a major driver for the Tucson retail market right now,” McClure said. “This is now one of several successful redevelopment projects down the Broadway corridor.”

Christian Faith Fellowship relocated to 1900 N. Country Club Drive.
