- Forbes Travel Guide announced that the luxury resort will again carry a five-star rating in 2016. The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain is one of two hotels in Arizona, 73 hotels in the United States and 154 hotels in the world to achieve five stars in 2016. It also remains the only property in Southern Arizona to hold a Forbes five-star rating.
- Dr. Joe G.N. “Skip” Garcia:
- Garcia, senior vice president for health sciences at the University of Arizona Health Sciences, was selected to receive the 2016 Trudeau Medal from the American Thoracic Society.
- Morris Hall PLLC:
- The law firm was ranked by Ranking Arizona as No. 1for 2016 in two categories, estate and trust law firm in Arizona and law firm with 20 or fewer attorneys.
- Kevin Adams:
- Adams, who opened his first Culver’s restaurant in Sierra Vista in March 2015, is the recipient of the chain’s Newcomer Award, given at a convention last week in Phoenix.
- State Sen. Gail Griffin:
Griffin, a Hereford Republican, was named the 2016 Legislator of the Year by the Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers, for successfully sponsoring SB 1194 (having to do with medically underserved areas and loan repayment) and getting it signed into law.
