Teen retailer Aeropostale Inc. will close two stores in Tucson and one in Scottsdale after filing Wednesday for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
In all, the New York-based apparel company will close 113 of its 739 stores in the U.S. and all 41 of its stores in Canada. U.S. store-closing sales are expected to start this weekend.
The Tucson stores to be closed are both in Foothills Mall, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd.: A regular Aeropostale and a P.S. From Aeropostale store.
The Aeropostale at Park Place mall on East Broadway will remain open.
The chain is also closing its store at Scottsdale Fashion Center.
