  • Greater Tucson Leadership: Local philanthropist Bonnie Kay has pledged to match all donations — up to $5,000 — to build a multi-purpose space to support Youth On Their Own in serving homeless teens. The project is being driven by the 2017 class of Greater Tucson Leadership, a nonprofit program designed to develop future community leaders. Kay, whose regular gifts have assisted animal welfare causes as well as programs that support economically vulnerable members of the community, has made the pledge in an effort to help support the class in its goal of raising $15,000 to complete the project. Others who have contributed to the effort include architect Kim Wolfarth, Porter Construction Services, Aztec Flooring, Universal Wallboard, Gilbert Electric and Tucson Medical Center.
