- Bank of America Charitable Foundation: Donated $20,000 to Caridad Community Kitchen, a program of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Caridad features a feeding program at congregate meal sites, a 10-week culinary training program for the unemployed and underemployed, and a full catering service.
- Southwest Women’s Charitable Club:
- Awarded a $7,500 scholarship to a University of Arizona nursing student and donated to Mobile Meals of Tucson, Live Theatre Workshop and Sr. Jose’s Women’s Shelter.
- Desert Diamond Casinos and Entertainment: Presented the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona with a check for $40,000. The donation is for the Emergency Food Assistance Program, which provides food boxes once a month to people in need.
- Martin-Taylor Dentistry: Two Tucson women are receiving free smile makeovers courtesy of dentists Jeff Martin and Will Taylor. More than 85 people entered the Martin-Taylor 2016 Smile Makeover Giveaway. The women were selected based on medical and financial need.
