Gas prices continue to slide as motorists take to the road for the Thanksgiving Day holiday, with the average price in Tucson falling more than 3 cents in a week to dip below $2 a gallon.
The statewide average gas price fell more than a penny in a week to $2.14 per gallon of regular on Tuesday, according to AAA Arizona.
Nationwide, prices fell more than a cent to $2.13 on Tuesday, AAA said.
Tucson kept the state’s lowest average price, at $1.99, while Flagstaff has the highest prices at an average $2.35.
AAA says that with the autumn refinery maintenance season nearing completion, pump prices are expected to move lower to close out the year, barring unforeseen circumstances.
