Tucson’s first Corner Bakery Cafe is set to open on South Wilmot Road just south of East Broadway on June 27.

The chain touts fresh, made-to-order food such as Anaheim scrambler and buttermilk pancakes for breakfast, chicken pomodori panini for lunch, pesto cavatappi for dinner and cinnamon creme cake for dessert. It also offers catering.

On opening day, the first 100 guests in line at 7 a.m. will receive a commemorative Corner Bakery Cafe travel mug with free daily refills of coffee for one year.

The Tucson location, 203 S. Wilmot Road, is owned and operated by franchise partners Jim Gore, Tyson Duncan and Mike Verlander of Bakery Ventures Ltd.

The group owns and operates four other Corner Bakery Cafe locations, in west Texas and southern New Mexico.
