Despite a brief surge in oil prices after Tuesdayβs election, oil and gasoline prices settled with a slight drop this week, AAA says.
Arizonaβs statewide average gas price edged downward almost a penny in a week to $2.16 per gallon of regular on Thursday.
Nationwide, prices dropped more than 2 cents to $2.20.
Tucson kept the stateβs lowest average gas price, which fell nearly a penny in a week to $2.03 per gallon on Thursday.
AAA Arizona said weakening demand and stable crude-oil costs could push prices lower heading into the Thanksgiving holiday, barring unforeseen circumstances.
