• Dolly Quinn’s Salonspa:
  • The spa at 6823 E. Camino Principal, its hairdressers, clients, visitors (including Mayor Jonathan Rothschild), and supporting business donors recently raised more than $2,000 in a one-day “cut-a-thon,” dubbed “Dolly snips and Mayor quips.” All proceeds were donated to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
  • Fiesta Bowl:
  • The bowl raised money for these Tucson organizations this year: Youth on their Own, $25,000; Boy Scouts, $15,000; and Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson, $30,000 for “Fiesta Bowl Healthy Kitchen.
  • Caliber Collision:
  • Caliber is holding its fifth annual Rhythm Restoration Food Drive to help the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona provide meals for children who need food during the summer break from school. Caliber has set up food collection bins at each of its three centers in Tucson and Oro Valley for food or cash donations through June 24.
  • BRAKEmax Car Care Centers:
  • The centers are running a “Round Up for the Southern Arizona Red Cross” promotion where customers are given the option to “round up” their purchase to the nearest dollar to benefit homeless veterans in Southern Arizona. Customers have raised more than $1,500 so far and the company will add $1,000. The event runs until Wednesday, June 15. Also, the BRAKEmax centers held two blood drives this month.
  • The Citi Foundation:

  • n Saturday, June 11, neighbors, community members and Citi volunteers planned to revitalize a South Tucson neighborhood, as part of NeighborWorks Week. The Citi Foundation is NeighborWorks America’s national partner for the week.
  • Raising Cane’s and MRG Marketing & Management, Inc.:
  • MRG, Southwest franchise partner of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, held a two-week fundraiser in May for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
