J.B. Long is one of the Pac-12 Network’s signature play-by-play men during both the conference’s basketball and football seasons.

When the two sports cross over, as they do now, his schedule gets particularly hectic.

This week, Long said, is his “busiest of the season.” Long is also the voice of the Los Angeles Rams.

Sunday, Long was in East Rutherford, New Jersey, for the Rams game against the New York Jets, which Los Angeles won 9-6.

Tuesday, Long was on the call for Arizona’s game against Cal State Bakersfield. He was joined by analyst Matt Muehlebach, a former UA standout.

Wednesday, Long flies to Corvallis, Oregon, to call the Oregon State basketball game against Lamar.

Thursday, he’ll be back in SoCal for groundbreaking of the Rams’ new stadium in Inglewood.

Friday, Long will, again, fly out to Corvallis to prep for Saturday’s football game between the UA and Oregon State. Long will call that game with Arizona alum Glenn Parker.

The week will close out back in Los Angeles when Long retreats to the Coliseum for the Rams’ home game against the Miami Dolphins.

By our general estimation, Long will have traveled more than 6,000 miles in one week’s time.
