As the season wound down and Selection Sunday neared, Arizona fans all held out hope that the Wildcats could secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament’s West Region.

If not, the Wildcats could have been sent to the Midwest, where the regional round is in Kansas City, Missouri. That’s not quite Wildcat Country.

Megan Ebeck had a little more at stake than that. Ebeck, an Arizona alum, works in the marketing department at SAP Center in an office filled with Oregon Ducks alumni.

“I couldn’t deal with it if Oregon was here,” she said.

Ebeck rubbed it in when Arizona beat the Ducks in the Pac-12 title game.

Once Arizona made it through Salt Lake City, beating Saint Mary’s after struggling for most of the game, Ebeck said she breathed a sigh of relief.
