24 Tucson Halloween events for adults: Parties, haunts and horror movies

Adults love Halloween just as much as kids. Sure, we don't get candy anymore but at least we get to stay up past bed time.
Here are some events happening in Tucson sure to delight and fright even the oldest of vampires.

Disney Villains Trivia Night at Crooked Tooth
UpdatedAre you a Disney fan? Put your knowledge to the test at Crooked Tooth Brewing Company's Disney Villain Trivia Night. Questions will be based off of all the stuff we watched as kids.
This is a free event, be sure to get there early to snag a spot.
And break out those Maleficent horns and Ursula tentacles â There's also going to be a Disney Villain costume contest too.
When: Thursday, Oct. 26, 8-10 p.m.

Franks 'N Steins: A Tucson Festival of Books Fun-raiser
UpdatedDress as your best Frankenstein â or his bride â for the costume contest, dance, dine on dogs and brew.
Celebrate the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Tucson Festival of Books and the 200th anniversary of the Mary Shelley classic sci-fi book "Frankenstein" with El Guero Canelo Sonoran hot dogs and beer.
There will be lots of fun entertainment including a Bride of Frankenstein hair show and a costume fashion contest.
 When: Monday, Oct. 30, 7-10 p.m.

Cost: $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
Free screening of Night of the Living Dead

Hallow-Versary Carnival Bash

A $10 cover gives you access to Halloween parties at Reforma Modern Mexican. Tequila + Mezcal and Union Public House, and a courtyard carnival featuring circus performers and games.

Harry Potter Party at 1912 Brewing Company

The 1912 Brewing Company is transforming into the Great Hall as part of their "Harry Potter Party Hallow Weekend."
Come dressed as your favorite character from the wizarding world and get ready to feel the magic â there will be Harry Potter trivia, Butter Beer and a costume contest.
When: Friday, Oct. 27, 3-10 p.m.
Where: 1912 Brewing Company, 2045 N. Forbes Blvd.
Cost: Free â the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona will be collecting non-perishable food and money donations at the event.
Haunted Wine-O-Treat at Mercado San Agustin
UpdatedDrink wine and dress up in your Halloween costume as part of Desert Grace Tours' Haunted Wine or Treat.
There will be wine tastings, music and a costume contest.
50 percent of the ticket admission into the festival will be donated to help Mexico earthquake relief efforts and to Casa Maria.

Nightmare on Congress â Friday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m., cost: $7-9, live music on two stages and a costume contest with a prize of $1,000.

Halloween Night â Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 9 p.m., cost: $5, music, costume contest and specialty drinks.
WTF AF Halloween Party â Sunday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m., cost: free, tarot readings, costume contest and live performances.
Devil's Night Diner â Monday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., cost: $80, enjoy dinner at the Cup Cafe with Halloween inspired food and live entertainment â guests are asked to wear black to this event. Free Devil's Dace Party to follow the dinner at 10 p.m.
IBT's Halloween Party
UpdatedHowl at the moon during IBT's Halloween party. There will be music, a costume contest with a prize of $500 and drink specials.

Luna Yoga Halloween Open House

Nightfall at Old Tucson

The old town of Nightfall returns again to scare and entertain during the month of October.
This year it's bigger and better with an expanded footpath, haunted houses, live-action performances and family friendly attractions for the young and those faint of heart.
Choose your scare level from "I'm just going to hang out on the Monster Safari train all night" to "Let's go through all of the haunted houses five times!!"
When: Open the month of October, Friday-Saturday 6 p.m.-midnight; Thursday, Sunday and Halloween, 6-10 p.m.
Where: Nightfall at Old Tucson, 201 S. Kinney Road
Cost: $28 general admission, $21 kids 9 to 11, ages 8 and under get in free. There is also a number ways you can score discounted tickets, check out Nightfall's website for details.
Nightmare on 4th
UpdatedThe Hut and O'Malley's Bar and Grill on 4th Avenue are coming together to have a big Halloween block party.
There will be drink specials, music and a cash-prize costume contest.

NOLAween at The Parish

The Parish co-owner Steve Dunn said he wants his guests to feel at home, to treat the place like their neighborhood bar.

Roach Law Firm's 13th Annual Halloween Bash

It's a classic horror movie party and we're all invited.
Admission into the bash gets you four beer tickets and a chance to enter the costume contest. Classic horror movie outfits are encouraged for this one.
Proceeds for this event goes to the Tucson Roller Derby and Youth On Their Own.

Terror in the Corn at Buckelew Farms
UpdatedIf you feel like being chased in a field by a sinister clown, check out Buckelew Farm Terror in the Corn â a haunted corn maze that creates a variety of new scares every year.
Children under 12 will not be admitted without a parent or adult.
When: Open every Friday in October from 6 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight and Halloween from 6 p.m. to midnight.
Where: Buckelew Farm, 17000 W. Ajo Highway
Cost: Tickets start at $27
Pro tip: If you're all about the corn and not about the scare, try Buckelew's Flashlight Nights, which happens every weekend after 5 p.m. â find more ticket information here.
The Centurions Fright Night
UpdatedHave a night of spooks and chills while supporting local charities at the Centurions of Southern Arizona's Fright Night.
There will be an extravagant costume contest, food buffet, live music and casino games.
This is a 21-and-up event.
When: Friday, Oct. 27, 6 p.m. to midnight
Where: Rialto Theater, 318 E. Congress Street

The Rocky Horror Halloween Bash at The Loft

Midnight showings of the âRocky Horror Picture Showâ â complete with costumed audience members who act out the movie as it is playing â are at the Loft the third Saturday of every month.

The Slaughter House

Attractions this year include the "Voodoo Bayou", "Cirque Du Slay", "The Boiler Room" and "City Meats". They've also have mini escape rooms and an interactive haunt called "Apocalypse" when guests can defend themselves against zombies.
When: Open through the month of October, Thursday and Sunday from 7-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 7-11 p.m., excluding Oct. 28 when it's open from 7 p.m. to midnight. Open Halloween 7-10 p.m.
Where: The Slaughter House, 1102 W. Grant Road
Cost: Tickets start at $23. $3 off for military with an I.D. and $5 off for students on Thursdays with an I.D.
Trick-o-Treat at PAWSH at La Encantada
