A wrought iron ceiling candelabra in the dining room has light guards of amber glass. A raised corner fireplace is circled by a hearth of Mexican tile and the mantel above also is outlined in tile.

The patio to the rear around which the home is built is lush with growth including poinsettias, bougainvillea, hibiscus, papayas, plumeria, lime trees and many more plantings.

Beamed-ceilinged living room. Draperies are a hand woven material in green with gold threads. Mrs. DuVal made the draperies from the material which came from Guadalajara. A large antique hand carved table and chairs of red leather with a design in gold are from an old home in Oregon.

Plants flourish in zaguan. On both sides of the zaguan entrance old Spanish stirrups and Spanish bits are mounted on one wall along with a colorful stained glass butterfly from Mexico.

Free-hung cupboards above counters in the kitchen have diamond shaped panels of wood as accents on each door. The same design is utilized in the below-the-counter cupboards. Counter tops are Mexican tile in bright blue, yellow and white.
