Remember Pancho Villa's Grill? The spot will serve tacos once again ...

Pancho Villa's Grill had some pretty prime real estate, on the northeast corner of Fourth Avenue and Fifth Street. But a new concept is moving into the former Mexican restaurant, which had been closed since 2016.

Bodega Blu will serve "amazing street food from around the globe," according to its website bodegablu.com. (It's not to be confused with the artisan cheese shop Blu A Wine and Cheese Stop which formerly occupied a space in the Mercado San Agustin.)

The website boasts of "fresh, specialty tacos from Mexico, gyros and souvlaki from Greece, crispy fried calamari from Italy," among other things. The name was inspired by a wine cellar in central Spain.

The outside of the building at 600 N. Fourth Ave. has been painted bright white, and a liquor license application is posted on the side of the door. Windows had been covered in butcher paper, but I was able to peek inside and didn't see much that was ready.

The website says the joint will be open from breakfast until 10 p.m. on weekdays, and stay open until 2 a.m. on weekends. (Closed Sundays.)
