2016 stats: Burrola missed all but four games due to a reoccurring shoulder injury and subsequent surgery, but says he’s on track for a full recovery by March and will be ready in time for summer workouts and fall camp.
Who he is: An offensive lineman who committed to Arizona under-the-radar in June following a standout performance at one of the UA’s summer skills camps. Burrola said he was in UA coach Rich Rodriguez’s office, along with Wildcat commit Malik Hausman and USC commit Randal Grimes, as a camp MVP when Rodriguez offered him a scholarship. Two days later, Burrola committed.
How he fits: Arizona is set to lose three of its projected starters — Jacob Alsadek, Layth Friekh and Gerhard de Beer — following the 2017 season, so after a likely redshirt season Burrola has a chance to compete for a starting spot in 2018.
