Two Tucson breweries, one close to midtown and the other on the city's northwest side, will be celebrating their anniversaries this Saturday.

Copper Mine Brewing, located at 3455 S. Palo Verde Road, in the same neighborhood as Green Feet, Nimbus, Ten Fifty-Five and Harbottle, has reached the 1-year mark.

And Catalina Brewing Company, around the corner from Button Brewing at 6918 N. Camino Martin, just off of Ina Road, is turning two.

Copper Mine will honor the occasion with three beer releases, a Mosaic IPA, prickly pear gose and an extra special bitter.

The Bacon Buggy and Los Locos Tacos will be slinging cuisine in the parking lot and Beer Geek Bakery will have sweet, beer-kissed treats on hand, meant to pair with Copper Mine’s latest creations. Activities run from noon to 9 p.m. More information here

Catalina Brewing Company will hold its festivities from 10:30 a.m. until 10 at night.

The day’s planned events include beer yoga from 10:30-11:30 a.m., a beer fun run with Button Brew House from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., live music, a petting zoo and outdoor games.

Blacktop Grill and Mama Bear Cafe will be the food trucks on-site. Get more information about that event here
