Christopher Molander, 9, and his sister Alexis draw a figure along the asphalt foot path during Stroll and Roll, a Beyond event along the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Linear Park parallel to the Canyon del Oro Wash. Participants were urged to take some chalk and create an image or leave a pleasant thought on the path. The event was one of many throughout the Tucson area to commemorate the January 8, 2011 shooting that seriously injured Rep Gabrielle Giffords and killed several people including Christina-Taylor Green. Beyond is a community-wide outdoor festival that celebrates the spirit of community and the beauty of the natural surroundings. It is a day of fitness with activities planned for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. The photo was taken on Saturday, January 11, 2014, in Tucson, Ariz. Photo by A.E.
