Tucson Historic Train Depot offers free holiday fun

Need somewhere to take your nieces, nephews, cousins and other visiting family members to keep them in the holiday spirit?

Head to the Historic AMTRAK Tucson Train Depot, 400 N. Toole Ave., for the 15th annual Holiday Express, happening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21.

The free family event will feature caroling, a reading of “The Polar Express,” letter-writing to Santa and even a visit from Santa, who will be posing for photographs.

That’s in addition to the Southern Arizona Transportation Museum’s regular attractions, including bilingual history exhibits, railroad art exhibits and a classic steam locomotive on display.

There will also be an arts and crafts show for last-minute present ideas.
