Vera Neumann’s β€œEmpress Rose.”

Diana Madaras is consolidating.

The artist and owner of Madaras Galleries merged her midtown and Foothills galleries into a new space at 3035 N. Swan Road.

And that calls for a celebration.

That’s just what there will be at the new gallery from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12.

Along with new works by Madaras, there will be a showing of 18 Vera Neumann paintings. Neumann was best known for her β€œVera” fashion designs, especially her scarves, marked by bright colors, floral patterns and a definite flair.

Also on hand will be Tucsonan Susan Seid, who will be signing copies of her book, β€œVera: The Art and Life of an Icon.”

The exhibit and celebration are free, but reservations are requested: 623-4000.
