The inaugural production of the Alliance Performance Center of Tucson is this weekend.

Tucson director Sheldon Metz has been working on the center for a few years now, looking for a building that will be a suitable home for many of the homeless theaters in the Old Pueblo. The Tucson Alliance of Dramatic Artists presents the first production: the world premiere of David Middleman’s “Senior Moments, a play about a young doctor recruited to work with Alzheimer’s patients. Metz directs. It is the winner of TADA’s 2015 playwriting competition.

Preview is 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 19, and regular performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays through April 3. Alliance is at 8892 E. Tanque Verde Road.
