Flowing Wells High grad Dario Dicochea â he uses just his first name â just jumped into the top 100 of Billboard's Top 200 albums chart.
Three weeks after releasing his album "Point of No Return" and two weeks after it debuted at No. 110 on the 200 charts, the album leaped 17 spots on Tuesday to land at 93 in this week's charts.
That's a pretty spectacular jump for an independent artist whose music is not in regular, heavy rotation on mainstream radio.
Dario's new album, his ninth release in a 16-year career, made six Billboard charts last week including No. 6 for overall pop albums.
Check back here in the next week for tour dates that could include a hometown show in Tucson and a show in Phoenix.
