The AVA at Casino del Sol will get little wacky next week when “Weird Al” Yankovic, the king of pop parody, brings his “The Mandatory World Tour” to Tucson.

But first up on Friday, two of the most beloved acts of the 1970s will share a bill when Cheap Trick and Peter Frampton bring their co-headlining tour here. The show starts at 8 at the AVA, 5655 W. Valencia Road.

It took Yankovic two years to record his 2014 album “Mandatory Fun,” which includes spoofs on everyone from Robin Thicke (“Word Crimes”/“Blurred Lines”) to Pharrell Williams (“Tacky”/“Happy”). He tossed in a couple original parodies, including one based on popular college fight songs, one styled after Cat Stevens and another on Southern Culture on the Skids. He has said this will be his final traditional album, and will switch to releasing singles and EPs going forward.

Of course no “Weird Al” album — and he’s recorded 14 of them in a career that started when he was in college in the late 1970s — is truly complete without a world tour.

He takes the stage at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. All but the pavilion section ($45) of the reserved seats are gone. Lawn tickets are $25 through tickets.solcasinos.com.

We get Cheap Trick and Peter Frampton on one of the final dates of their summerlong co-headlining tour. Expect to hear Cheap Trick’s “I Want You to Want Me,” “Dream Police,” “Voices” and “Surrender,” along with Frampton’s “Baby, I Love Your Way,” “Lines on My Face,” “Show Me the Way” and “I’m In You.”

The two acts have been on the road together since early June. The tour wraps up this month.

Their Friday show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 and $45 through tickets.solcasinos.com; most reserved seats are gone.
