Yanni's The Little Greek restaurant in the El Dorado Village plaza near Trader Joeâs on North Wilmot Road and Speedway is closed.
The family-owned restaurant, which opened in August 2012, served a casual menu of dishes like flaming saganaki cheese, Greek spaghetti and an "outstanding" spanikopita spinach phyllo pie, as reported by the Arizona Daily Star in 2013. The Kranis family, which previously ran The Little Greek off East Tanque Verde Road, ran the Speedway restaurant; dad Yanni manned the kitchen and his son Ryan ran the grill.
The family could not be reached to comment, but the restaurant, 1101 N. Wilmot Road, appears abandoned and the phone number and website are disconnected.
