Michelle "Cardboard Shell" Lesco doesn't mind if people come out Wednesday to see her train for her next competition.
But you might not want to stand too close. She might bite.
Or throw chicken bones your way.
There's nothing attractive about Lesco training, she confesses. After all, she's aiming to eat 150 chickent wings in a 10-minute span.
Yep, skipping the blue cheese.
Lesco, a Vail School District teacher in her day job and the No. 8 ranked professional eater with Major League Eating, is getting ready for Saturday's Hooters Worldwide Wing Eating Championship in Clearwater, Florida.
The petit, 110-pound Lesco will train for the big event at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Marana Hooters, 4385 W. Ina Road.
Lesco competed in wings in April when she took on Joey "The Jaws" Chestnut in a competition in Phoenix.
The pair were among the contestants in the Fourth of July Nathan's hot dog competition. She said she missed third place by a dog and a half.
