The University of Arizona baseball team is giving Linda Chorney a dress rehearsal for her April 21 debut at Fenway Park.

Tonight, before the No. 4 Wildcats take on No. 7 UCLA, Chorney will sing the National Anthem at Hi Corbett Field.

Chorney said she got the invite after word got out that she would sing the anthem at the Red Sox-Yankees game at storied Fenway Park April 21. The Massachusetts native Chorney, nominated for a Grammy for last year's "Emotional Jukebox" album, said singing at Fenway is a lifelong dream come true.

Chorney this week said she was almost as excited to be singing at Hi Corbett.

Friday's game starts at 6 p.m. and will be televised Saturday on Fox Sports Arizona. According to the UA Wildcats website, this weekend's three-game series between the Wildcats and Bruins will help determine the Pac-12 mid-season leader. Arizona is in first place entering the weekend with 9-3, while UCLA is tied with Oregon for second place at 8-4. The Ducks swing into Tucson May 4-6.
