Chipotle Mexican Grill is about to get a new neighbor in Marana.
Jersey Mike's Subs is opening next door to the popular Mission-style burrito shop a5940 W Arizona Pavilions Drive. That's right off Interstate 10 and Cortaro Road, a growing magnet for fast-casual chains.
No opening date has been set, although a giant sign announcing the restaurant's arrival is plastered on the back of the building.
Jersey Mike's is the latest national chain to set up in the Arizona Pavilions shopping area. It joins Chile's, Village Inn and Native Grill & Wings, alongside a couple of mom-and-pop restaurants including Nana's Kitchen, Sushi Cortaro, Mantis Gourmet Chinese and Chopstix Fine Asian Dining.
This will be the third Jersey Mike's Subs since the chain made inroads into Tucson in September 2014 at 3400 E. Speedway. The second location opened last December in a plaza at 6501 E. Grant Road.
