Voting starts now for Food Truck Madness

It’s (almost) summer in the city, and things are about to start heating up.

We’re talking Caliente’s Food Truck Madness, and the first round of voting starts Thursday at tucson.com/mobilemadness.

We asked readers to nominate their faves and your responses ran the gamut — from Cajun and Caribbean fare to Mexican-Asian fusion and Vietnamese along with plenty of barbecue, hot dogs and burgers.

Pin-Up Pastries, a top seed by virtue of its multiple nominations from readers, faces Lucky Girl Cafe, which serves up Asian street tacos along with a variety of hamburgers. Across the bracket, The Twisted Tandoor, which also emerged as a reader favorite, faces popular Tucson Fat Noodle.

All of the food trucks included in Caliente’s Food Truck Madness competition can be found online. Most have pages on Facebook, and several have websites.
